The
letter for today is: U, where I feature untidy
and ugli fruit.
The
only way my husband and I differ is in setting out our possessions. You know
what I'm going to say: I'm tidy and he's not. The difference is minute. His untidy habits are seen in the fine
detail, not the big picture. He might leave a chair slightly off-angle with the
table, or hang the utensils in the wrong place. I'm oversimplifying here, but
I'm sure you don't want to read through a list of minor transgressions.
I
wouldn't dream of complaining. In the untidy
stakes, he's in the bottom few.
His
untidy habits are on the same level
as the appearance of the ugli fruit,
which isn't ugly at all. Whoever thought up this name should be shot for lack
of imagination. Ugli fruit looks
like a cross between a pear and a mandarin. This citrus fruit doesn't deserve
its title any more than my husband can be called untidy.
