A - Z Writing Challenge: H

The letter for today is: H, where I feature hairy and hot-potato.

I've noticed men are gradually losing the hair on their skin. I say this because of my observations about those I've known.
When my six-foot-four inch son matured, he didn't grow facial hair. Of course, this lack caused him embarrassment. I'm sure he saw the benefit over time.
During evolution men kept their facial hair for protection when they braved the elements, while women stayed safe and warm in the cave, cooking hot potatoes on the coals.
Now, men stay sheltered as well. Hence, they don't need hair. I've noticed men lose hair on their crown too. I don't know why the same thing doesn't happen to most women.
My man's body doesn't grow thick hair either. In my mind, he's highly evolved. He stays in the kitchen, planning and cooking the meals, sometimes even producing hot potatoes. In this sense, evolution shows the co-relation between hair-on-men and hot potatoes.

  1. I'm not much of a fan of hair, so hopefully I'll find a man that is more of an indoor, hot-potato type guy. Thanks for posting.

    1. Maybe that's the clue you've been looking for, Jessica! Find the hot potato types and you'll find your guy!

  2. Great post. There might be some truth to what you've noticed - I wonder if there's been any scientific research conducted? LOL.

  4. Interesting about lack of hair on a guy meaning that we are evolving! In the case of my boys: one of my 17 year old twins doesn't have facial hair yet and doesn't have to shave. His twin (Evan, who you've "met" on my blog on the 5th), has to shave about 1 or 2 times a week. Their dad doesn't grow a good beard and they may have inherited that feature.. something to do with the Native American blood in their genes from his side... (1/16th or less)

my blog is at http://weavingrainbow.com/HSblog but since I'm using google it will point to a blog I have not used in years!

  5. That is hilarious. Who'd have thought there was a correlation between the two. I must say though that Mr A is not overly hairy and yet spends a lot of time working in the garden. On the other hand I spend much of my time in the house and am 'blessed' with far too much of the stuff all over the place!! *sigh*

  8. This is funny. Hmm, let me see, my husband doesn't spend much time in the kitchen, but he isn't hairy, but my sons are. I spend more time in the kitchen and I have to pluck all the time. Guess, you're right, sort of. I dropped over from the A-Z challenge. http://angelasfreelancewriting.com.

  9. This is hilarious! I heard that men who are balding in the back are great lovers. Men who are balding in the front are great thinkers. Men who are balding in both places just think they are great lovers. ;)

  11. Hmmmm, my man still has alot of hair even in his mid-50's, spends very little time in the kitchen, but he CAN cook a hot potato. His hairline is receding a little in the front so based on Donna's comment he must be a great thinker!

Thanks for the comment on my blog Francene. I'm sending you some sunshine from Arizona today. I would love it if we could exchange weather for a day.....We could really use some rain!
