A - Z Writing Challenge: Z

The letter for today is: Z, where I feature zeal and zeitgeist.

Over the last month, I've been full of zeal to finish this challenge. My mind focused on the task to the exclusion of everything else. When my husband wanted to talk about something harmless like tell me about the plot of a film he had watched, I would become impatient.
With an effort, I consciously shrugged off my zeal to center myself on real life.
A zeitgeist immerses him or her self in the spirit of the times. People with similar zeal have formed a group akin to a movement. I guess they employ the same type of zeal as I did to finish this challenge.
The A - Z challenge was my spirit of the times, therefore, using my zeal, I became a zeitgeist.

  7. Francene,

I used a fruit and a feeling with ZEST and wondered what you would do, and now I know!

  15. Awesome post, Francene! I had zeitgeist for today's word, too, but--as usual--you managed to sum it up in few well-chosen words, while I rambled on for pages, haha! You're right--A-Z was the zeitgeist for the month, and I'm so happy I got to share it with you. Blogging like this, in a conjunction of sorts, has been an amazing experience, and I hope we manage to keep it up throughout the year. You're one awesome A-Z partner, partner!

  27. That was a good pair - given new zeal. Hmm, although for that one should go to New Zeal-land?
Never come across the zeitgeist before your zite - suppose it is pronounced zite guy ist?
    This has been fun.
